John Monash Scholarship for Excellence 2026
This prestigious scholarship is offered annually by Monash University, one of Australia’s top-ranked institutions, to recognize and support the most exceptional international students completing Australian Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate in Australia.The scholarship aims to encourage academic excellence and leadership development among high-achieving students as they begin their undergraduate journey at Monash. Successful applicants will also receive an invitation to participate in the Monash Minds program, an exclusive leadership initiative for first-year students.
This opportunity is open to international students intending to enrol in an undergraduate degree at any Monash campus in Australia

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants are expected to:

Be currently completing Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate (IB) in Australia

Intend to enrol in an undergraduate degree at a Monash campus in Australia

Meet the entry and English language requirements for the chosen course
Eligible countries: All nationalities are eligible
Eligible course or study program: Any undergraduate program at Monash University
Selection Criteria
The scholarship is merit-based and automatic for eligible applicants. Selection will be based on:

ATAR of 98.00 or higher (or equivalent IB score)

Academic achievements in Year 12 or IB

Leadership potential (e.g. through invitation to Monash Minds)

Meeting all course entry and language requirements

No separate application required; applicants will be considered automatically through VTAC

How to apply

Apply for an undergraduate course at Monash University via the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC).

If you meet the eligibility criteria and have an ATAR of 98.00 or higher, you will be automatically considered for the scholarship.

No separate scholarship application is necessary.

Final selections are made by Monash University after ATAR results and university offers are confirmed.
