This scholarship opportunity is being sponsored by the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) to support high-performing domestic students undertaking postgraduate Masters by coursework programs within the Faculty of Science.

The scholarship is designed to reward academic excellence and assist eligible students to reduce tuition costs while studying science-related postgraduate programs at one of Australia’s leading technology-focused universities.

Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants are expected to:

  • Be an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, or hold an Australian permanent resident or permanent humanitarian visa

  • Commence full-time, on-campus study at UTS in either the Autumn or Spring Session following offer acceptance

  • Be commencing one of the following Faculty of Science postgraduate programs:

    • Master of Science (C04241)

    • Master of Science (Extension) (C04265)

    • Master of Medical Biotechnology (C04390)

    • Master of Biotechnology (Extension) (C04388)

    • Master of Philosophy in Medical Biotechnology (C04389)

    • Master of Forensic Science (C04391)

    • Master of Forensic Science (Extension) (C04392)

    • Master of Philosophy in Forensic Science (C04393)

  • Meet all course admission requirements for the selected program

  • Have achieved a minimum GPA of 5.7 out of 7 in the most recently completed qualification used for admission

  • Not have previously received a scholarship for another eligible UTS Postgraduate Science course

  • Not be enrolled in a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP)

Eligible course or study program: Approved postgraduate coursework programs within the Faculty of Science

Selection Criteria 

The selection criteria for this scholarship are merit-based and assessed on:

  • Academic performance in the most recently completed qualification

  • GPA achieved and recognised by UTS for postgraduate admission

  • Overall academic competitiveness among eligible applicants

How to Apply

  • There is no separate scholarship application required

  • Eligible students are automatically considered when applying for an approved postgraduate coursework program in the Faculty of Science at UTS

  • Applicants must submit a complete postgraduate coursework application for the Autumn or Spring Session within the scholarship application period
