Research topic
A HDR scholarship with a top-up is available for a PhD undertaken within
the Institute of Physical Activity and Nutrition (IPAN) in the area of human
nutrition.
Interested applicants are encouraged to identify a project of interest from
the options below and to discuss the project with the relevant Principal
contact before proceeding with an application.

Applicants please note: If you are unsuccessful for the top up scholarship,
you may still be considered for a standard Deakin University Postgraduate
Research (DUPR) scholarship by the Faculty of Health.

This scholarship is available over 3 years.

Stipend of $28,092 per annum tax exempt (2020 rate)

Plus a top-up scholarship of $15,000 per annum tax exempt
-
Relocation allowance of $500 -1500 (for single to family) for students
moving from interstate or overseas
Eligibility criteria for this scholarship
To be eligible you must:
-
be a domestic candidate (domestic includes candidates with Australian
Citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency or New Zealand
Citizenship).

meet Deakin's PhD entry requirements.
-
be enrolling full time and hold an honours degree (first class) or an
equivalent standard master's degree with a substantial research
component.

Additional desirable criteria include:
Applicants from a non-traditional pathway, including those with a
background in another field or with industry experience are preferred.
