About the scholarship positions

Joint PhD Scholarships: macroecology & biodiversity conservation

Multiple fully funded PhD scholarship positions in macroecology & biodiversity conservation are available at Adelaide University. These scholarships are available via a joined collaboration between the University of Adelaide and the University of Copenhagen and are funded by the Australian Research Council, the Danish Council for Independent Research and the Villum Foundation.

The applications are open for both international and domestic students. The scholarship will support two students to undertake research in global change ecology: How do biological mechanisms mediate responses of biodiversity to climate- and human-driven change? The scholarship will be available for up to 3 years with living cost support stipends.

  • Research scholarship stipend value: up to AUD$28,854 per annum,  plus a top-up scholarship valued between AUD $10,000 in year 1 and AUD $20,000 per annum in years 2 and 3

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship:
  1. Applicants must hold a Masters degree in ecology, computational science, mathematics, and conservation biology and be accepted as candidates for a PhD degree at the University of Adelaide and the University of Copenhagen.

  1. Your résumé/Curriculum Vitae and copies of any published papers
  2. address the selection criteria
