Earmarked scholarships scheme to support Category 1 project grants

The University of Queensland Earmarked Scholarships Scheme 2024 is currently accepting applications from eligible PhD students. These scholarships, funded by the Australian Government, aim to assist students in meeting their tuition fees and living expenses. Both domestic and international students are eligible to apply for these scholarships to pursue their PhD studies at the University of Queensland. 

The Earmarked scholarships are specifically designed for research projects aligned with recently awarded Category 1 Research Grants. This provides PhD students with a unique opportunity to work alongside leading researchers in their field and contribute to large-scale projects of national significance. 

Interested candidates are encouraged to apply by submitting their application before the deadline. Successful applicants will be notified in due course and will be invited to commence their studies at the University of Queensland. The application for these scholarships are open in rounds all year through. There are main 4 rounds that match with the University of Queensland's academic year for research students(research quarters (RQ)), applicants must apply at least 12 weeks before the commencement date of each Research Quarter

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for these scholarships interested applicants must meet the University of Queensland's minimum entry into entry requirements for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
