Western Sydney International Scholarships – Undergraduate 2025

This scholarship opportunity is offered by Western Sydney University to support exceptional international students in pursuing undergraduate studies. All new applications for admission to eligible undergraduate programs will automatically be considered for the scholarship.

    • $6,000 per year contribution towards tuition fees (up to 240 credit points or three years maximum)
    • $3,000 per year contribution towards tuition fees (up to 240 credit points or three years maximum)
  • Minimum Award: All successful applicants will receive a minimum scholarship valued at $3,000, with the $6,000 value awarded based on academic achievement in previous studies.
  • Other supports: None specified
  • Health insurance: Not covered
  • Study Level: Undergraduate degree programs
  • Study Course: All CRICOS registered undergraduate degrees (excluding Bachelor of Clinical Science (Medicine)/Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Nursing)
  • Citizen type: International students only
  • Number of positions: Limited (granted on a first-come-first-served basis)
  • Duration: Up to 240 credit points or three years maximum
  • Application period: Scholarships are granted on a first-come-first-served basis until filled. Early acceptance is advised.

Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be an international student, not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, or permanent resident of Australia. (The scholarship will discontinue if visa status changes during the study period.)
  • Commence a new undergraduate program of study in 2025 for the first time.
  • Be applying to study in a CRICOS registered undergraduate degree program.
  • Satisfy the academic eligibility requirements for either the $6,000 or $3,000 multi-year scholarship.
  • Satisfy all other admission requirements and accept their admission offer.

Applicants are not eligible for the scholarship if they:

  • Are a citizen of Australia or New Zealand or hold permanent residency in Australia.
  • Are a study abroad or exchange student coming to the University.
  • Are currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at Western Sydney University.
  • Do not commence study in the session and year indicated in their offer or attempt to defer commencement.
  • Are granted more than 160 credit points in advanced standing.
  • Study fewer than 80 credit points to complete the program.
  • Are applying to study a program located at the Sydney City campus.
  • Have been awarded another scholarship by the University or any other organization that covers the cost of tuition fees (fully or partially) at Western Sydney University.

Selection Criteria 

The selection criteria for this scholarship are based on:

  • Academic Achievement: Performance in a completed Year 12 qualification or equivalent recognized by Western Sydney University for admission.
  • No separate scholarship application is necessary. All new coursework applications for admission will automatically be considered for a scholarship.

  • Application Process: No separate application is required for the scholarship. All new applications for admission to eligible undergraduate programs will automatically be considered.
  • Offer of Admission: Successful applicants will have their scholarship offer detailed in their Offer of Admission letter.
