University of Sydney Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarships Scheme 2026

This prestigious scholarship, offered by the University of Sydney, is designed to support exceptional international students who demonstrate high academic achievement and wish to pursue a bachelor’s or coursework master’s degree at one of Australia's top universities.

The scholarship is open to new international students who have received an unconditional offer to study a CRICOS-registered coursework degree at the University of Sydney.

Scholarship Overview

  • Scholarship Type: Partial tuition fee support
  • Scholarship Value: Four funding tiers available:
    • $40,000 payable over one year in two equal installments per semester
    • $20,000 payable for one semester
    • $10,000 payable for one semester
    • $5,000 payable for one semester
  • Study Level: Undergraduate or Master’s coursework degree
  • Study Course: Open to all coursework programs that are CRICOS-registered
  • Citizen Type: International students
  • Number of Positions: Subject to available funding
  • Duration: Varies based on the scholarship tier (one semester or one year)
  • Deadlines: 4 May 2026

Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be an international student.
  • Have applied for but not yet commenced a CRICOS-registered bachelor’s or coursework master’s degree at the University of Sydney.
  • Receive an unconditional offer of admission by the relevant application deadline.

Selection Criteria 

The scholarship selection is merit-based and considers the following factors:

  • Academic Excellence: Rankings are based on the academic performance of the applicant in their previous studies.
