The Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarships are prestigious research scholarships funded by the Australian Commonwealth Government and administered by Bond University. Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible for the RTP scholarship at Bond University, applicants must:

  • Have a valid Letter of Offer for a PhD program or Professional Doctorate of Occupational Therapy at Bond University

  • Be enrolled or intending to enroll as a full-time student

  • Not be in receipt of an equivalent award or scholarship from the Commonwealth intended to offset HDR fees

  • Be applying within the allowed number of scholarship attempts (maximum of two if previously unsuccessful)

Eligible Course or Study Program: Any approved doctoral-level research degree program at Bond University

Selection Criteria 

Selection for the RTP scholarship is highly competitive and merit-based. The committee will consider:

  • Academic achievements and results from previous degrees

  • Quality and clarity of the research proposal

  • Alignment of the proposed research with university research priorities

  • Research experience and professional background

  • Recommendations and academic references

  • Research skills, publications, or conference presentations

    You must first apply for and receive a Letter of Offer for your chosen PhD or Professional Doctorate at Bond University. Admission processing can take 6–10 weeks, so apply early.

  2. Prepare Required Documents:
    Before beginning your scholarship application, gather and prepare the following:

    • Research Project Proposal

    • Official Academic Transcripts and certificates

    • Certified English translations of non-English documents

    • Evidence of English Language Proficiency (if required)
