Venture Scholarships 2025 at University of Queensland

The University of Queensland (UQ) is proud to introduce its 2025 UQ Venture Scholarshipsa transformative funding opportunity designed to support student entrepreneurs from all disciplines. This initiative empowers students to pursue their entrepreneurial passions while completing their university education.

These scholarships are aimed at students developing startups, prototypes, or impactful ideas, and provide not only financial support but also mentoring and access to UQ’s Venture ecosystem. Open to both domestic and international students, UQ Venture Scholarships create a launchpad for future founders and changemakers across the globe.

 Scholarship Overview

• Scholarship type: Partial tuition support and entrepreneurial development aid
• Stipend value: up to $40,000
• Other supports:

• Mentorship from successful entrepreneurs

• Access to UQ Ventures’ core programs: Curiosity, Validate, Hustle, ilab, and Startup AdVentures

• Networking opportunities with startup founders and investors
• Study Level: Undergraduate and postgraduate (depending on scholarship)
• Study Course: Open to all study areas (specific scholarships may have course restrictions)

Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible for these scholarships, applicants must:

• Be currently enrolled at the University of Queensland

• Demonstrate a strong interest or active involvement in entrepreneurship

• For the Carl Hartmann Scholarship: Be from a disadvantaged background

• Duration: Up to 4 years (Total: $40,000)

• Sponsor: Madison Group Enterprises

2# Carl Hartmann Scholarship for Future Entrepreneurs

• Eligibility: Students from disadvantaged backgrounds

• Value: $4,500 per year

• Duration: Up to 4 years (Total: $18,000)

• Sponsor: Carl Hartmann, UQ alumnus and global entrepreneur

3# UQ Ventures Scholarship

• Eligibility: Students from all disciplines launching their own ventures

• Value: $5,000 per year

• Duration: Up to 2 years (Total: $10,000)
