CQUniversity International Merit Scholarship 2026

The CQUniversity International Merit Scholarship is an outstanding opportunity for ambitious and high-achieving international students to study in Australia. Sponsored by Central Queensland University (CQUniversity), this scholarship supports exceptional students who have demonstrated strong academic performance or English language proficiency and are committed to excellence in their chosen fields.

The opportunity is open to new international students applying for undergraduate, postgraduate coursework, or research programs (Masters by Research and PhD) at CQUniversity. The scholarship offers up to 25% tuition fee reduction for the entire duration of the course.

• Duration: For the entire duration of the course, subject to satisfactory academic performance
• Deadline: 30 December 2030

Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants are expected to:

• Be new international students applying for an undergraduate, postgraduate, or research degree at CQUniversity.

• Meet the academic entry requirements for their chosen course of study.

• Demonstrate excellent academic performance or strong English language proficiency.

• Submit certified copies of academic transcripts and completion certificates, with English translations if required.

• Maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout the duration of their studies to retain the scholarship.

• Be applying from outside Australia or be an international student currently residing in Australia on an eligible visa.

Selection Criteria 

The selection criteria for this scholarship will be based on merit and academic achievement. Applicants will be assessed according to:

• Academic excellence in previous studies.

• English language proficiency results (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL, or equivalent).

• Relevance of previous qualifications to the chosen field of study.

• Potential for success in the chosen academic program.

• Consistency in academic performance throughout the study duration.

Note: There is no separate application process; all eligible applicants are automatically considered during admission evaluation.

How to Apply 

Follow these steps to apply:

1. Apply for admission to an eligible program at CQUniversity via the CQUniversity iStart Portal

2. Submit all required academic documents, including certified copies of transcripts and English test results.

3. You do not need to submit a separate scholarship application  all qualified applicants are automatically considered.

4. You will receive a notification email once your course and scholarship assessment is complete.

5. If you applied through an education agent, your agent will update you on your application status.
