Swinburne International Scholarships 2025–2026

The Swinburne International Scholarships are funded by Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, to attract high-achieving international students to commence undergraduate, postgraduate (coursework), pathway, and English language programs at its Hawthorn campus.

These scholarships are designed to reward academic excellence, support talented students from around the world, and reduce the financial burden of studying in Australia. Eligible students are automatically considered for available international scholarships when they apply for an eligible course at Swinburne for the first time in 2025 or 2026.

 Scholarship Overview

Scholarship types available:

1. Swinburne International Scholarship

   • Tuition fee reduction: 20% off tuition fees

   • Duration: Standard course duration

2. George Swinburne International Excellence Scholarship

   • Tuition fee reduction: 30% off tuition fees

   • Duration: Standard course duration

3. Swinburne International Pathway Scholarship

   • Tuition fee reduction: Up to A$3,000

   • Applies to: Foundation Year, UniLink Diploma, or Postgraduate Qualifying Program

4. ELICOS+ Scholarship

• Benefit: Refund of up to 10 weeks of ELICOS tuition fees (maximum A$5,000)

• Refund is applied across the first three semesters of the main course

Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible for these scholarships, applicants must:

• Be an international student (not an Australian or New Zealand citizen, and not an Australian permanent resident)

• Apply to commence an eligible course for the first time at Swinburne’s Hawthorn campus in 2025 or 2026

• Meet academic and entry requirements for the chosen course

• Not be receiving another Swinburne tuition fee scholarship at the same time

• Not be receiving a tuition fee scholarship from another external organisation concurrently

Eligible Countries:
All nationalities are eligible

Eligible course or study program:

• Undergraduate and postgraduate (coursework) programs

• Pathway programs (Foundation Year, UniLink Diploma, Postgraduate Qualifying Program)

• ELICOS (where applicable)

Selection Criteria 

The selection process is merit-based, and scholarships are awarded automatically based on:

• Academic performance in previous studies

• Overall grades and academic consistency

• Course competitiveness

• Fulfilment of course and scholarship requirements

There is no separate scholarship application required.

How to Apply

1. Apply for an eligible course at Swinburne University of Technology for the 2025 or 2026 intake.

2. Submit all required academic documents and supporting materials.

3. If your application is successful, you will receive a Letter of Offer.

4. Your Letter of Offer will clearly state whether you have been awarded an international scholarship.

5. Unsuccessful scholarship applicants will not be notified separately.
