University Of Sydney Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences International Scholarship
This scholarship opportunity is being sponsored by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Sydneyto support exceptional international students commencing undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degrees.
The scholarship is designed to attract high-achieving students from diverse international backgrounds who wish to study arts, humanities, and social sciences at one of Australia’s leading universities.
The opportunity is therefore open to international students starting a Bachelor’s or Master’s by coursework degree in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Sydney.

$20,000 per annum for full-time study (up to 1 year), or
$10,000 per annum for part-time study (up to 2 years, if approved)

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants are expected to:
be an international student
have received an unconditional offer of admission to study full-time in an undergraduate or coursework master’s CRICOS-registered degree
be commencing study in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Sydney
Eligible Countries: All nationalities
Eligible course or study program: Any eligible bachelor’s or coursework master’s degree offered by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
Additional notes:
Students commencing a second degree at the University of Sydney are eligible provided they have not previously held this scholarship
Credit transfers must not exceed 48 credit points for a bachelor’s degree or 24 credit points for a master’s degree
Selection Criteria
The selection process is merit-based, with consideration given to:
Academic performance in previous studies
Overall academic excellence and consistency
Alignment of academic background with the chosen program
Diversity considerations aligned with the Faculty’s priority markets

How to Apply
No separate application is required.
All eligible international students who have secured an unconditional offer of admission to an eligible program in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences will be automatically considered for the scholarship.
