About the positions
UWA International Postgraduate Research Scholarships
Applications are currently open for the University of Western Australia
(UWA) International Postgraduate Research Scholarships. Applications
are invited from outstanding international applicants to apply for the UWA
International Fee Scholarships to undertake the degree of Master by Research
or Doctorate by Research. An application for a scholarship is also an
application for admission to the University.
The International Postgraduate Research Scholarships Round
covers Tuition fees for successful recipients, fortnightly living
support stipends and Overseas Student Health Insurance. Three types of
scholarships are available for international applicants, this
includes:

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must:
Selection Criteria
The UWA International Postgraduate Research Scholarships are awarded based
on academic achievements. Applicants are rated based on the following
criteria:
- Academic achievement;
-
English language achievement; and
- Research experience.
Scholarships are awarded by the UWA Higher Degree by Research
Scholarships Committee to eligible applicants after a competitive
selection process on the basis of:
-
a) academic achievement as evidenced by their academic record;
and
-
b) research potential as evidenced by relevant research experience,
research output, other research-related achievements and publications,
if applicable.
How to apply
An application for a scholarship is also an application for admission to
the University. To apply, applicants are encouraged to contact the
HDR Pre-candidature Support Team (applications-grs@uwa.edu.au), to confirm their eligibility and that appropriate supervision,
facilities, and resources are available for their research. Scholarship
applications at UWA are submitted via the University’s
online portal.
