LPDP Australia Awards Scholarship 2024

The LPDP Australia Awards Scholarship is a collaborative initiative between the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) and the Australia Awards Scholarships (AAS). This scholarship aims to empower Indonesian students by providing them the opportunity to pursue a master’s degree at leading Australian universities, thereby contributing to their country's development and the global economy.

The scholarship is open to Indonesian students who wish to study in Australia, with a focus on fields that align with the current needs and future priorities of Indonesia. See some application tips at the end of the post!

Scholarship Overview

• Scholarship Type: Full tuition fee cover
• Stipend Value: A monthly stipend of AUD 3,000 master's students

  - °A monthly stipend of AUD 3,500 for PhD students

• Health Insurance: Coverage for medical expenses throughout the study duration
• Other Supports: Funds for books, research, international seminars, and emergencies
• Post-Study Opportunities: Access to a global network of scholars and professionals

• Study Course: Open to specific fields such as blue economy, green/renewable economy, and digital/information technology

Eligibility 

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:

• Educational Background: Hold a four-year diploma (D4) or a bachelor’s degree (S1) and must not have previously earned a master’s degree.
• English Proficiency: Meet the minimum English language requirements (IELTS: 6.5, TOEFL iBT: 84, PTE Academic: 58).
• Age Limit: Be under 42 years old as of December 31, 2024.
• Commitment: Demonstrate a commitment to return to Indonesia and contribute to the country's development after completing the degree.
• Eligible Course or Study Program: Focus on fields such as the blue economy, green/renewable economy, or digital/information technology.

Selection 

The selection process will be merit-based and will consider the following factors:

• Academic Achievements: Performance in previous academic programs (GPA, rankings, etc.).
• Field of Study: Alignment of the chosen study program with Indonesia's development priorities.
• English Proficiency: Sufficient proficiency in English as demonstrated by standardized test scores.
• Professional Experience: Relevant work experience in the chosen field of study.
• Commitment to Return: A strong commitment to applying the acquired skills and knowledge in Indonesia post-graduation.
• References: Strong recommendations from academic or professional referees.

How to Apply 

1. Online Registration: Register on the LPDP Scholarship Registration site: LPDP Registration.
2. Document Submission: Submit required documents such as academic transcripts, English proficiency scores, recommendation letters, and personal statements.
3. Selection Process: Participate in administrative and substantive evaluations, including interviews and final shortlisting.
4. University Placement: Secure admission at one of the 22 participating Australian universities.

Deadlines

• Application Period: August 26 – September 13, 2024
• Administrative Selection Results: September 27, 2024
• Substantive Selection (Interviews): October 28 – November 1, 2024
• Final Results Announcement: November 14, 2024
• Program Commencement: Early 2025
