 2025 UNE International Scholarships

The UNE International scholarships are offered by the University of New England (UNE) to attract outstanding international students to pursue higher education in Australia. These scholarships aim to support academically talented individuals and encourage them to excel in their studies at UNE.

The scholarship program is open to international students enrolling in postgraduate research programs (Masters or PhD) at UNE. This initiative aligns with UNE's commitment to fostering global research excellence and creating a diverse academic community.

 Scholarships Overview

• Scholarship Type: Full or partial tuition fee coverage
• Stipend Value: Living allowance 
• Other Supports: Relocation allowance 
• Health Insurance: Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of the scholarship
• Study Level: Masters by Research or PhD
• Study Course: Open to all disciplines offered at UNE
• Citizen Type: International students only
• Number of Positions: Limited (exact number may vary annually)
• Duration: Up to 2 years for Masters by Research; up to 3.5 years for PhD
• Deadline: 5 January 2025

Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:

• Have received an offer of admission to a higher degree by research program (Masters/PhD) at UNE.
• Meet UNE's English language requirements for admission.
• Demonstrate academic excellence in their previous studies.

Eligible Countries: Open to applicants from all nationalities.
Eligible Course or Study Program: Any program available for postgraduate research at UNE.

Selection Criteria 

Selection is highly competitive and based on the following criteria:

• Academic performance in previous degrees (e.g., grades, GPA, rankings).
• Research potential as evidenced by prior academic achievements, research experience, and publications.
• Alignment of proposed research with UNE’s strategic research priorities.
• Strong references from academic or professional referees.

1. Apply for admission to a higher degree by research program at UNE via the UNE Online Application Portal.

   • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
   • Referee reports
   • Evidence of English language proficiency
