Monash University’s Centre for Health Economics offers a unique Integrated PhD Program designed to develop highly skilled health economics researchers. The program includes rigorous coursework, advanced research training, and professional development opportunities, preparing candidates to lead in global health economics research.

The program is open to domestic and international students, offering project-specific PhD opportunities starting in July 2025. With world-class mentorship, access to cutting-edge resources, and a reputation for excellence, this is an ideal opportunity for aspiring health economists.

Scholarship Overview

• Scholarship Type: Full tuition fee cover
• Stipend Value: AU$37,000 per annum (tax-free) with potential for up to AU$47,000 per annum for outstanding students
• Study Level: Integrated PhD Program (Master of Commerce + PhD)
• Study Course: Health Economics (and related topics)
• Citizen Type: Domestic and International Students
• Duration: Up to 4.5 years (1 year for Master of Commerce and 3.5 years for PhD)
• Deadline: 2 March 2025

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this program, applicants are expected to:

• Hold a 4-year bachelor degree or a 2-year master’s degree in economics, econometrics, or a related quantitative discipline
• Demonstrate strong academic results and research experience
• Meet Monash University's English language proficiency requirements

Selection for this scholarship will be based on merit and key factors such as:

• Academic Excellence: Strong undergraduate or master’s academic performance
• Research Potential: Demonstrated interest and potential in health economics research
