Murdoch University Western Australian Premier’s University Scholarships Program 2025
This prestigious scholarship is sponsored by the
Government of Western Australia, through the
Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation, to support outstanding international students commencing postgraduate studies in Western Australia.
This opportunity is open to high-achieving international students who have received a letter of offer to commence full-time postgraduate studies at Murdoch University (and other WA universities) in 2025.
The aim of the program is to promote Western Australia as a top study destination while supporting international talent with financial assistance to pursue advanced education and research in a world-class academic environment.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:

Have received an unconditional letter of offer to study a full-time postgraduate program (minimum 2 years) at Murdoch University, commencing Semester 2, 2025 or a start date after 1 January 2025.

Be an international, fee-paying student commencing their studies onshore in Western Australia in 2025.
-
Not have commenced or completed previous studies in Western Australia.

Not be entering via packaged, foundation, or English pathway programs.

Be willing to decline other scholarships granted by the university, state, or commonwealth, if successful.

Meet all requirements for an Australian student visa (Subclass 500).

Selection will be based on:

Academic merit (undergraduate results and standing)

Strength of personal and academic references

Relevance and impact of the proposed postgraduate course

Quality and clarity of personal statement

Alignment of applicant’s goals with the WA Government’s priorities

Completed online application form

Degree certificate and official undergraduate transcript (same used for Murdoch admission)

English language proficiency evidence

Personal statement

Unconditional Murdoch Offer

Genuine Student Form (if applicable)

One personal reference and one academic reference (on letterhead and verifiable)
How to Apply

Apply for admission to an eligible postgraduate program at Murdoch University.

Once you receive an unconditional offer, complete the Premier’s University Scholarship Application Form.

Attach all required documents.

Submit the full application by 30 May 2025.
