The Western Australian Premier’s University Scholarships 2025 are prestigious awards designed to attract high-achieving international students to study in Western Australia. The opportunity is open to international students applying for eligible undergraduate or postgraduate programs at the University of Notre Dame's Fremantle campus in 2025. The scholarship offers a generous fee reduction and is ideal for academically outstanding students from select countries.

Eligibility Criteria 

Applicants must:

  • Have received a letter of offer for full-time, on-campus study at the Fremantle campus of the University of Notre Dame, commencing in Semester 1 or 2, 2025

  • Be applying for a degree (undergraduate or postgraduate) that is not a packaged, foundation, or English language pathway

  • Hold or be eligible for an Australian student visa (subclass 500)

  • Be applying as an international fee-paying student

  • Be a citizen of one of the eligible countries listed below, applying from outside Australia

Selection Criteria 

Selection will be based on merit and assessed by the University of Notre Dame’s International Office. Criteria include:

  • Demonstrated high academic achievement

  • Strong application and supporting documentation

  • May include interviews or written responses as determined by the university

Selection Process

  • Applications must be submitted through the official university scholarship application form

  • The scholarship selection committee will assess and notify successful applicants via email

  • The university reserves the right not to award the scholarship if suitable candidates are not identified

Conditions of the Scholarship

To maintain the scholarship, recipients must:

  • Commence and maintain full-time enrolment onshore in WA in 2025

  • Maintain good academic standing throughout their program

  • Not hold any concurrent scholarships

  • Comply with the University’s Code of Conduct and general regulations

The scholarship:

  • Is non-transferable and not redeemable as cash

  • Will be suspended for only one semester if on approved leave of absence

  • May be subject to changes or termination due to breach of conditions

Student Requirements

  • Recipients may be invited to take part in promotional activities or media events

  • Must obtain prior approval from the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation (JTSI) for public/media statements

  • Must provide JTSI at least 25 business days’ notice for proposed media engagements
