Western Sydney University is offering a new round of Research Scholarships to support outstanding domestic candidates pursuing higher degrees by research in Australia. These scholarships provide financial assistance and research support to students enrolling in Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Professional Doctorate programs (DCA, DCR or EdD) at one of Australia’s leading research institutions.
The scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis to applicants who demonstrate academic excellence and research potential. This scholarship round is specifically for candidates commencing in Quarter 1, 2026, and applications will be assessed according to the university’s ranking guidelines.

Selection Criteria

Research potential, demonstrated through prior coursework, publications, or research experience.
Quality of supervisory support: applicants must provide a letter of support from a suitable supervisor for their proposed research project.
