UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture Honours Scholarships – Commencing Term 1, 2026
The UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture Honours Scholarships are designed to support high-achieving students commencing Honours programs within the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture (ADA). This single application (UGCA1806) allows applicants to be considered for multiple Honours scholarships based on their area of study, academic merit, and demonstrated commitment to their discipline.The scholarships are open to talented students from any residency background who will begin Honours in Term 1, 2026. A range of discipline-specific awards are available, offering financial support and recognition across philosophy, social sciences, fine arts, construction, planning, and civic design.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must:
Be commencing an eligible full-time Honours program within the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture in Term 1, 2026.

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria UGCA1633 Fred Katz Award – $5,000 - Commencing full-time Honours in Philosophy
- Must be Domestic (Australian Citizen, Humanitarian Visa Holder, Permanent Resident, or NZ Citizen)UGCA1216 Peggy Bamford Award – $5,000 - Commencing full-time Honours in Social Sciences UGCA1635 Lucy Aspinall Photography Award – $5,000 - Commencing Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours)
- Honours focus must be photographic and/or moving image art practicePUCA1036 Women in Construction Honours Award – $10,000 - Commencing Bachelor of Construction Management and Property (Honours)
- Demonstrated leadership and extracurricular engagement
- Commitment to construction management studiesUGCE1209 Easson Geha Award in Planning – $5,000 - Undertaking the Honours component of Bachelor of City Planning (Honours) (single or dual)
- Must be DomesticUGCA1063 Elias Duek-Cohen Civic Design Award – $5,000 - Commencing full-time Honours in the Built Environment, with research focused on improving towns and cities (community layouts, landscape projects, urban design, transport, etc.) Selection Criteria
Scholarships will be awarded based on:
Academic Merit (grades, ranking, academic performance)
Aptitude and commitment to the relevant discipline
Leadership skills (where required)
Extracurricular involvement, such as volunteering, work experience, or community activities
Relevance and quality of proposed Honours research topic (specific to some awards)Important notes:
Applicants must upload supporting documents to verify all claims.
Activities older than 3 years will not be considered.
Late applications or missing documents will not be assessed.
UNSW reserves the right not to award a scholarship if no applicant meets the criteria.
