The University Excellence Scholarship is a prestigious merit-based award offered by the University of Wollongong (UOW), Australia, to recognise and support high-achieving international students commencing undergraduate studies in 2026.
This scholarship is designed to reward outstanding academic performance and ease the financial burden of tuition for students who demonstrate excellence in their previous studies. The opportunity is automatically assessed, meaning eligible students do not need to submit a separate scholarship application once they receive an offer to study at UOW.
The scholarship is open to international students worldwide enrolling full-time in eligible undergraduate programs at UOW’s Australian campuses.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants are expected to:
-
be an international student
-
have outstanding academic results in one of the following pathways:
-
Australian Year 12 (ATAR) or an approved equivalent international senior secondary qualification
-
Foundation Studies program approved for direct entry into a UOW Bachelor degree from a recognised institution
-
Diploma or academic pathway program with credit transfer from an institution that has a formal agreement with UOW
-
Academic programs (including Bachelor degrees) approved for admission into UOW Bachelor degrees from a recognised institution
-
-
not be receiving any other scholarship, sponsorship, bursary, or tuition discount for the same course (excluding stipend-only scholarships)
-
enrol in a UOW undergraduate course at an Australian campus in 2026
-
maintain a minimum cumulative Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 50 throughout the study period
-
note that students who transfer courses will no longer be eligible for the scholarship
* Includes students under 18 who qualify for direct entry into a UOW Bachelor degree but are required to enrol in a UOW College Diploma due to an approved homestay arrangement through UOW College Australia.

The selection process is merit-based, with consideration given to:
