Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarship 2026

This scholarship opportunity is being sponsored by University of Melbourne to support high-achieving international students from financially disadvantaged countries to pursue undergraduate studies at one of Australia’s leading institutions.

The opportunity is therefore open to international students enrolling in a bachelor’s degree program at the University of Melbourne, with automatic consideration upon admission no separate scholarship application is required.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants are expected to:

  • Be a citizen of a country with a GDP per capita of US$10,000 or less (based on World Bank data)

  • Have applied for and met the entry requirements for an overseas fee place in a bachelor’s degree at the University of Melbourne

  • Have completed secondary school outside Australia or a foundation program in Australia

  • Not have previously undertaken tertiary studies (except extension studies during Year 12)

Eligible Countries: Countries classified under the specified GDP threshold (many developing nations qualify)
Eligible course or study program: Any eligible undergraduate program offered by the University
