La Trobe Vice-Chancellor Scholarship

The Vice-Chancellor Scholarship, a La Trobe scholarship program is an initiative from La Trobe University to support international students intending to study at this University. 

The scholarship program offers a 100% tuition fee reduction to international students with outstanding academic performance to study undergraduate and postgraduate course degree programs at La Trobe University.  The tuition fee is offered for the entire duration of studies. This is a country-specific scholarship and targets a group of citizens only. Details are provided below

For those not belonging to this targeted group, you can keep an eye on the Australia Award Scholarships Its an Australian Government scholarship program for international students. It is open to a wide range of countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. The application for 2025 Australia Awards Scholarships will be open in Febuary 2025.

Who is Eligible for La Trobe Vice-Chancellor Scholarship?

There are some conditions applicants must meet to be eligible to apply for this scholarship. To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must :

• be a citizen and resident of India or Sri Lanka.
• Be eligible for direct entry (no ELICOS or pathway) commencing an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree which is under the LTIS List of Eligible courses.
• Be a full-fee paying student (Non-Sponsored)
•  have an overall WAM* (AQF Equivalent) of 80% or above.
• meet all the conditions in the offer letter by the provided deadline.

How are applicants selected for this La Trobe Vice-Chancellor Scholarship?

There is a selection panel for this scholarship. To proceed to the next step, successful applicants will be shortlisted and evaluated  based on the following qualifications:

• Overall WAM
• Academic achievement
• Extra-curricular activities.
• Social activities

Some other special conditions applied to this scholarship:

• Maintain a full-time enrolment and satisfactory academic progress during studies.
• Respect the terms and conditions included in the offer letter.
• The scholarship award recipients must be willing to be international student ambassadors for La Trobe University during their study period.
