  • Scholarship Value: AUD $28,597 (2021 rate, indexed annually) per annum
  • Living cost: Fortnight stipends,

Eligibility criteria for URTS Fee Offset scholarships 

To be eligible for this scholarship, international applicants must meet the Charles Darwin University entry requirements including the followings :
Applicant must be enrolled in a HDR at CDU and demonstrate exceptional research potential to undertake a HDR.

Applicant  must not already be receiving an equivalent award or scholarship from the Australian Government designed to offset HDR tuition fees.

Charles Darwin University entry requirements for a Masters Research programs include:
  •  a Bachelor Honours degree with first-class or second-class honours or
  •  a Master by Coursework or Extended Masters, which contains a substantial research component
  • English entry requirements. IELTS (Academic) 6.5 with no band less than 6.0, or an equivalent English proficiency test result. 
Entry requirements for a PhD research program include :
  •  a Bachelor Honours degree with first-class honours or second-class honours division or
  •  a Master's qualification that contains a substantial research component ie some publications etc..
  • English entry requirements. IELTS (Academic) 6.5 with no band less than 6.0, or an equivalent English proficiency test result. 

How to apply for URTS Fee Offset scholarships 

There is no separate application for admissions and scholarships. Interested applicants will have to submit an application for admissions into specific degree program  of choice with the scholarship option. 

To submit an application for a research degree program, applicants are expected to first  to submit an expression of interest first to  the HDR team before being invited to apply for admission and the specific scholarship and then contact a potential supervisor. If this is successful, the online application process is simple.

Applicant will just simply need a valid email address to create an online account. Once you have started the application, you will have the option of saving your application and resuming it later. There is no application fee when you apply online.
