About the University of Queensland Graduate scholarships (UQGSS)

The application for the University of Queensland Graduate
Scholarships (UQGSS) for the 2024 academic year is opening soon. It is not
too early to start your preparations now and get all the documents ready.
The University will begin accepting applications for these scholarships as
of May 2023. However, admissions into research degree programs are open
all year through.
The UQGSS is the University of Queensland's prestigious scholarship award
program awarded to high-achieving and eligible international students to
undertake research in this institution. These fully-funded scholarship
positions are available for Higher Degree Studies(MSc/PhD) and are open to
all study areas
The recipients of this program will be awarded either an Australian
Government Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship or a UQ-funded
scholarship via a competitive process. Both scholarships provide full
tuition fees, a living allowance and international student health

Eligibility criteria for the UQGSS scholarships
Scholarships to study at the University of Queensland are very
competitive. To be eligible for the UQGSS scholarships, the applicant must
be;

be nominated by an enrolling school or institute at UQ
-
be assessed by the Graduate School as meeting all conditions for
admission to the higher degree by research program.

not be receiving a living allowance award, or scholarship providing
a benefit greater than 75% of the RTP Scholarship living allowance
rate to undertake the higher degree by research program.
