International Research Tuition Scholarships (IRTS) 2023-2024
Application for the University of South Australia International Research
Tuition Scholarships (IRTS) 2022 is currently open. The IRTS scholarships are
awarded to support eligible international students undertaking research degree
Masters or PhD in any field of choice through a specific research project.
Depending on the conditions of the offer stipulated by their sponsorship, some
applicants may need to develop their own project with a UniSA supervisor
The IRTS are awarded to international applicants on the basis of academic
merit and demonstrated research capability. The scholarships would provide a
full living stipend supported by external funding, e.g a recognised sponsor or
external scholarship awarding body. The duration of the IRTS tuition fees
cover would be up 2 years for research Masters and 3 years for a PhD.
Applicants would have to source an Oversea student health cover (OSHC).

Eligibility Criteria for the IRTS scholarships
Interested applicants must meet UniSA’s
eligibility criteria, in addition, applicants must also meet all of the following criteria:

Applicant must be a commencing international research degree students

Applicant must be high quality with demonstrated research capability, as
assessed by UniSA

Applicant must be supported by a strong supervisory panel(with end-user
adviser on the supervisory panel, where appropriate), and be enrolled in
a research-rich environment

Applicant must be in receipt of (or been awarded) a fully externally
funded stipend scholarship, or in receipt of a living stipend supported
by external funding*.
How to apply for IRTS scholarships
Applications for research degree programs in UniSA generally involve applying
via a research project with a defined topic, a supervisory panel. Applicants
are equally encouraged to contact the graduate research school if they intend
to develop their own projects.
