Summary of postgraduate research admissions and scholarships application
      guide, Australia

In most Australian Universities, to apply for research degree program
scholarships(MSc/PhD), an applicant must first submit a candidature for a
Higher Degree at the time of application. Most Australian Universities
have similar pathways to apply for their research degree programs.
Generally speaking, they are two conventional ways to apply for a PhD
      research degree in Australia:

      -
You can apply for admissions and scholarships via an advertised
          project or

-
by developing a research proposal and indicating interest in a
          scholarship.

In any of these ways, you must surely contact a potential supervisor to
discuss research interest and supervision possibilities. Most of the
scholarships advertised above have specific projects that you need to
contact the supervisor, you might either need to develop a proposal on
your own or together with the supervisor and moved forward. In cases
without specific projects, you would have to develop your own personal
research proposal, contact a supervisor in a field of interest and apply.
In summary, below are 5 general steps to go through :

        -
Find a course and identify the available scholarships

- Check requirements
-
          Draft a research proposal

-
Contact potential supervisor (to discuss research interest and
            studentship position), if approved

-
          Submit an EOI and Apply

Expected documents you should get ready in this process

        -
          Academic curriculum vitae (CV)/Resume

- academic transcript
- Degree Certificate
-
English Language documents (For Non-native speakers)

- Passport
-
