University of Sydney Faculty of Engineering Scholarship 2025
The University of Sydney’s Faculty of Engineering offers the 2025 International Tuition Fee Research Scholarship to support international students pursuing higher degree research (HDR) studies. This scholarship is available to both PhD and Master's by Research candidates and covers academic tuition fees as well as the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF). It is designed for outstanding candidates who have secured an unconditional offer to enroll in a full-time HDR program. Additionally, applicants must apply for the Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship and demonstrate that their stipend is funded by a third-party sponsor or the university.

Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be international students.
- Have an unconditional offer for full-time enrollment in a PhD program or a Master’s by Research program (with the intention of transitioning to a PhD after the first progress review).
- Demonstrate that a third-party sponsor or the university is covering their stipend.
- Apply for and be considered for the RTP Scholarship.
- Not hold an RTP or any similar primary scholarship covering academic course fees.
Selection Criteria
Selection will be based on the following factors:
- Academic excellence and achievements in previous studies.
- Research potential in the chosen field of study.
- Alignment of the chosen research program with prior academic or professional experience.
- Recommendations from previous referees or supervisors.
- Demonstrated research skills through publications or other means.
