UWA's International Student Award 

The University of Western Australia (UWA) is offering the International Student Award to foster a diverse student community and enable students from select countries to achieve their academic and career goals. This award provides a tuition fee reduction for eligible undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The opportunity is open to international students from designated countries who intend to study full-time at UWA on an Australian student visa.

  • Value:  Up to $20,000 for a 4-year program

Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible for this award, applicants must:

  • Be a citizen of one of the following countries:
    • Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, or Vietnam
  • Apply to UWA as an international student and hold a valid Australian student visa.
  • Be enrolled in an eligible full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course offered by UWA as listed in the UWA Handbook.

This award is offered based on the following criteria:

  • Citizenship and residency status (as per the eligible countries listed).
  • Admission to an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate course at UWA.
  • Commitment to a full-time course load throughout the duration of the program.
