University of Adelaide Research Scholarships (UARS) 2025-2026
The University of Adelaide Research Scholarships (UARS) are prestigious awards provided by the University of Adelaide to support exceptional international students who wish to pursue postgraduate research degrees in Australia. These scholarships aim to attract high-calibre graduates from all over the world and support them to undertake a Masters or PhD by research across all faculties at the University of Adelaide.
This opportunity is open to future and commencing international students who demonstrate academic excellence, research potential, and leadership capability. Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis and support students in all faculties across the university.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the UARS, applicants must:

Be an international student who is eligible to apply for a visa to study in Australia.

Have completed at least the equivalent of an Australian First-Class Honours degree (this includes a significant research component).

Meet the English language proficiency requirements of the University.

Not be receiving another award from the Australian Government intended to cover tuition fees.

Meet the entry requirements for a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) program at the University of Adelaide.

Apply for admission and scholarship together using the designated online application portal.
