Curtin University HDR Scholarships, Awards and Grants 2025

Curtin University, one of Australia’s leading institutions for innovation and research, offers a range of Higher Degree by Research (HDR) scholarships to support exceptional domestic and international students undertaking Masters or PhD by research programs. These scholarships aim to ease the financial burden of research study and promote excellence across various disciplines.

The scholarships include government-funded options such as the Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) and Curtin University-administered schemes, which may combine tuition fee waivers, stipends, allowances, and other supports. This opportunity is open to applicants worldwide who demonstrate academic merit and research potential.

 Scholarship Overview

Scholarship Type: 

  • Full or partial tuition fee offset

  • Stipend for living costs (via RTP or Curtin-funded options)

Stipend Value:

  • RTP Stipend of AUD $32,250 per annum 

Other Supports:

  • Relocation allowance for eligible students

  • Completion Scholarship for extended support toward end of degree

  • RTP Allowance to cover ancillary research expenses
