La Trobe Vice Chancellor Scholarship 2026

La Trobe University, one of Australia’s most forward-looking institutions, is offering the prestigious Vice-Chancellor Scholarship for outstanding international students beginning their studies in 2025.

This scholarship is designed to reward high-achieving students who have excelled academically and demonstrated leadership potential, extracurricular engagement, and a passion for creating positive change. The opportunity is open to international students applying for undergraduate and postgraduate coursework at La Trobe’s Victorian campuses.

Through this scholarship, recipients will gain access to a strong global network, leadership development opportunities, and recognition as La Trobe student ambassadors, representing the university in academic and community platforms.

Scholarship Overview

• Scholarship type: Partial or full tuition fee cover

• Stipend value: A reduction of either 50% or 100% of total course tuition fees

• Other supports: Opportunity to join the La Trobe Student Ambassador Program for leadership and networking

• Study Level: Undergraduate and Postgraduate Coursework

• Study Course: Open to eligible courses across La Trobe campuses

• Citizen type: International students (non-Australian, non-New Zealand)

• Number of positions: Limited, highly competitive

• Duration: Entire duration of the enrolled program (subject to meeting academic progress requirements)

• Deadline: 17 May 2026

Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:

• Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand.

• Be commencing study in 2025 (Summer or Semester 2).

• Be a full fee-paying international student (non-sponsored).

• Apply for direct entry into an eligible course at La Trobe.

• Meet the University’s English language requirements and academic entry standards.

• Have a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 80 or equivalent academic achievement.

• Secure a valid offer letter from La Trobe University before scholarship selection.

• Complete the Summer 2025 application form in full.

Selection Criteria 

Selection is highly competitive and will be based on:

• Outstanding academic performance (minimum WAM 80).

• English language proficiency.

• Quality of the written statement submitted in the application.

• Alignment of academic achievements with chosen program of study.

• Final evaluation by La Trobe University’s selection committee.
