Women in Engineering Top Excellence Scholarship 2025-2026 Curtin University
The Women in Engineering Top Excellence Scholarship is an academic excellence award created by Curtin University to support and reward exceptional female students who achieve the top raw ATAR score in an Engineering undergraduate degree within the Faculty of Science and Engineering.
This merit-based scholarship aims to encourage more young women to pursue and excel in Engineering by easing their financial burden and supporting their academic journey.
The scholarship is open to female-identifying domestic students completing Year 12 in 2025 and intending to begin an Engineering undergraduate program at Curtin University in 2026. Application forms are not requiredeligibility is determined through TISC (Tertiary Institutions Service Centre) preferences and ATAR performance.

Up to $24,000 for a 4-year degree

Up to $30,000 for a 5-year degree

Up to $33,000 for a 5.5-year degree

Payment structure: $3,000 per semester, paid directly to the recipient. Funds can be used at the student’s discretion for educational-related expenses.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:

Be a female-identifying student completing Year 12 WACE in 2025

Be a domestic student (Australian citizen, permanent resident, permanent humanitarian visa holder, or New Zealand citizen)

Be a high-school leaver in 2025
-
Select Curtin University as their first preference through TISC for an eligible Engineering undergraduate degree in 2026
-
Receive the top raw ATAR score in an Engineering degree within the Faculty of Science and Engineering (StepUp bonus points are not considered)

Receive and accept an eligible course offer at Curtin University for Semester 1, 2026, by the offer lapse date

Be willing to enrol full-time (minimum 75 credits per study period) in an eligible course
Note:

This scholarship is deferrable for up to one year.

It is not transferrable to another discipline, faculty, or university.
Selection Criteria
Selection is based purely on academic merit, specifically:

Top raw ATAR scores among eligible female applicants in Engineering undergraduate programs.

StepUp bonus points are not included in the assessment.

All students meeting the eligibility criteria and achieving the top ATAR score will receive the scholarship.

Enrolment Requirements for Recipients
To maintain the scholarship, recipients must:

Remain enrolled in an Engineering undergraduate degree at Curtin University

Maintain a full-time study load (minimum 75 credits each study period)

Achieve a course weighted average (CWA) of at least 70 each study period
