ECU Creative Excellence Scholarship 2026

The 2026 ECU Creative Excellence Scholarship is proudly offered by Edith Cowan University (ECU) to support talented international students pursuing creative disciplines in Western Australia. This scholarship is designed to attract high-achieving global students to ECU’s vibrant arts and creative industries programs at the City Campus.

The opportunity is open to prospective international undergraduate students enrolling in selected creative courses in Semester One or Semester Two, 2026. The scholarship provides a 10% tuition fee reduction for the full duration of the eligible course.

Scholarship Overview 

  • Scholarship type: Partial tuition fee reduction
  • Stipend value: 10% reduction in tuition fees for the full duration of the course
  • Other supports: Applied directly to tuition fees (unit-by-unit basis at census date)
  • Health insurance: Students must arrange and pay Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) as outlined in their Letter of Offer
  • Study Level: Undergraduate Coursework
  • Study Course: Selected Creative Discipline Programs
  • Citizen type: International students
  • Number of positions: At ECU’s discretion
  • Duration: Entire duration of the eligible undergraduate course
  • Deadline: 30 August 2026

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants are expected to:

  • be an international student (not an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, or New Zealand Citizen);
  • receive an offer or conditional offer to study an eligible course at ECU for Semester One or Semester Two, 2026;
  • study onshore at ECU City Campus in Western Australia;
  • meet ECU’s academic and English language entry requirements;
  • not be in receipt of a government scholarship, industry sponsorship, or another ECU scholarship;
  • commence studies onshore in 2026 in one of the approved programs.

Eligible Countries: All nationalities (except Australian and New Zealand citizens/permanent residents)

Eligible Courses or Study Programs:

  • Bachelor of Music Honours (K35)

  • Bachelor of Arts (Dance) (T73)

  • Bachelor of Arts (Arts and Cultural Management) (T74)

  • Bachelor of Music (W76)

  • Bachelor of Performing Arts (Y97)

  • Bachelor of Visual Arts (F23)

  • Bachelor of Design (P79)

Selection Criteria

The selection process is based on:

  • Meeting academic and English entry requirements;
  • Receiving an offer to an eligible course;
  • Compliance with all scholarship eligibility guidelines;
  • Maintaining full-time enrolment (60 credit points per semester);
  • Remaining in good academic and financial standing throughout the course.

Ongoing Conditions

Recipients must:

  • maintain full-time enrolment and satisfactory academic progress;
  • comply with ECU’s policies and visa requirements;
  • pay tuition fees by stipulated deadlines;
  • not defer commencement of the scholarship;
  • not transfer the scholarship outside Western Australia or to another institution;
  • notify ECU of any changes affecting eligibility.

The scholarship may be revoked if conditions are breached or if false or misleading information is provided

How to Apply

There is no separate scholarship application required.

If you apply for an eligible undergraduate course at Edith Cowan University and receive an offer, you will automatically be assessed for the scholarship by ECU’s Admissions Office. Successful applicants will receive a separate scholarship confirmation letter together with their Letter of Offer.

You may apply for an ECU course through:

  • An authorised ECU education agent; or

  • The ECU Online Application Portal (via the official ECU website).

How to Accept the Scholarship

To accept your scholarship, you must:

meet all conditions listed in your Letter of Offer;
accept the Letter of Offer by the stated deadline;
pay the required tuition deposit and Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC);
comply with all admission and visa requirements.
