This scholarship opportunity is being sponsored by Federation University Australia to recognise and support outstanding academic achievers from selected regions in Asia who wish to study in Australia.

The opportunity is therefore open to commencing international students from South Asia, Southeast Asia, and China to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate coursework programs at Federation University Australia. The scholarship aims to reward academic excellence, leadership potential, and students who can positively contribute to the university community.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants are expected to:

  • be a commencing international student
  • be enrolling into a bachelor or masters coursework program in 2026
  • be a citizen of South Asia, Southeast Asia or China
  • have achieved an average mark of 90% or equivalent in previous studies used for admission
  • be eligible to study in Australia with a valid student visa
  • submit a separate scholarship application and participate in an interview process
  • meet all additional scholarship terms and conditions set by Federation University Australia

Selection Criteria

The selection criteria for this scholarship will be merit-based and consideration will be given to:

  • Outstanding academic achievements in previous studies
  • Leadership qualities and extracurricular involvement
  • Potential to positively contribute to the Federation University community
  • Performance during the scholarship interview process
  • Consistency in academic excellence and future study goals

Conditions for Vice-Chancellor's Award

  • Applicants and awardees must remain enrolled in an eligible Federation University undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree.
  • The scholarship covers 50% of tuition fees and is initially awarded for two semesters.
  • To continue receiving the scholarship after the second semester, students must maintain a GPA of 6.5 or higher.
  • The scholarship is non-transferable and cannot be converted to cash.
  • Students who withdraw from their course or fail to maintain eligibility may lose the scholarship.
  • The scholarship cannot be deferred to another calendar year.

  • Apply for admission into an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at Federation University Australia.
  • Eligible students will then be required to submit a separate scholarship application before the deadline.
