  • 3 make sure to keep as many referees as possible for recommendations.

As a personal experience it was not easy getting all the referees. This is why we recommend you to secure all your referees ahead of time before the application period. Inform them months earlier, so as to give them enough time to be ready for you when the application period starts. Follow them up and remind them again few weeks before the application period. Contact as many referees as possible to increase your chances. Referees could be any of your supervisors from school, co-workers, a superior from work etc.. see how to contact supervisors here👉 contacting a supervisor

  • 4 Do not hesitate to ask for assistance from friends, supervisors for your application.

Another  major tip here to help you secure a scholarship is to get assistance from friends.co-workers or supervisors. Do not hesitate to ask them to review your proposal, your application and make corrections. Scholarships applications should be error free. It is important to consider this please.

Even though you must have gotten assistance from friends,supervisors,co-workers or family to review your application ,however, before the final application submission  ,revised it again ….. and again. After completing most of my applications, i took about a week to read through, re-read, again.... and again before submitting. This is being done to make sure it error free. This explains why you must start your application process on time so as to reduce any deadline pressure.

I also recommend you using grammar editing, spelling and plagiarism check software. Grammarly is the popular one use these days by most students. It is highly recommended plus its free.

  • 6 After submitting your application, do not stop the search

Do not stop searching for more opportunities after submitting your application. Increase your chances of getting even a more better scholarship by continuously searching for more until  you are 100% sure of securing one.
