About the position:

SMARTSAT CRC HDR Scholarships at Adelaide University

SMARTSAT CRC in collaboration with Adelaide University invites applications for higher degrees by research (MSC/PhD) scholarships. The University of Adelaide as part of the collaboration is involved in the development and supervision of PhD projects in partnership with the Smartsat CRC and its industry partners.

These research scholarships would support full-time PhD and MPhil students to undertake research in a broad range of areas. Several project opportunities exist for interested applicants: applicants can work within established research projects or focus on standalone projects that align with the SmartSat research program. 

The SMARTSAT CRC HDR Scholarships are open for both domestic and international students eligible to undertake research degrees at Adelaide University.  Non-residents will be considered, subject to project-specific requirements. The SMARTSAT CRC HDR Scholarships covers full scholarships or top-up, the MSc scholarship duration will be for up to 2 years while PhD supports will be for up to 3 years  with a starting stipend of $28,597 per annum (indexed annually)

Eligibility criteria: 

The SMARTSAT CRC HDR Scholarships at Adelaide University  is open for both domestic and international students. Eligible International students who meet the minimum Doctor of Philosophy requirements for Adelaide University are encouraged to apply
The eligible applicants must have :
Have completed a relevant Bachelor degree with First Class Honours or equivalent in a related discipline, or a Masters degree that contains a significant (and relevant) research component with equivalent academic performance.  
Be interested in advanced telecommunications, IoT connectivity and intelligent satellite systems

How to apply

To apply for the SmartSat HDR Scholarship to undertake a research degree to study at the University of Adelaide, below is the application process in conjunction with the application procedure of SmartSat CRC: 
  1. Carefully study the information on SmartSat CRC.
  2. Express your interest to a potential supervisor with the relevant research area.
  3. Together with your potential supervisor, develop a research proposal using the application form. Note that this will require the identification of an industry end-user.
  4. Submit your application to SmartSat CRC.
  5. In parallel with Step 4 above, apply for admission and scholarship (RTP for Australian residents and international scholarships for non-residents) through the Adelaide Graduate Centre.
