Faculty of Engineering International Tuition Fee Research Scholarships 2022-2023

Multiple fully funded postgraduate research scholarships are available in the faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney. The Faculty of Engineering International Tuition Fee Research Scholarships 2022 aims to provide academic tuition fees to outstanding international higher degree research (HDR) students within the Faculty of Engineering.

These scholarships will provide academic course fees and the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF), to the eligible applicants subject to satisfactory academic performance for the duration of the scholarship. Which is up to 4  research periods for a successful master's by research recipient (no possible extension. And up to 12 research periods for a PhD recipient (with a possible 2 research period extension).

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Faculty of Engineering International Tuition Fee Research Scholarships 2022, the interested applicants must meet the following criteria:
  1. The applicant must be an international student
  2. Applicant must have an unconditional offer of admission for a full-time PhD or master's by research program with the intent to transfer to a PhD after satisfactory completion of the first progress review interview
  3. provide evidence that your stipend allowance is being paid by a third-party sponsor or university-funded
  4. apply and be considered for an RTP stipend scholarship
  5. not be the recipient of an RTP or equivalent primary scholarship that provides academic course fees.

How to apply for this scholarship

The faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney has a special way to apply for their postgraduate research scholarships. To apply for this scholarship, interested applicants must have to submit an expression of interest via engineering.hdr@sydney.edu.au

Other instructions: This is a tuition fee scholarship only, Engineering HDR students who can provide evidence of their stipend allowance being paid by a third-party sponsor or university-funded will be considered for this scholarship. 
To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must also apply for the University of Sydney Research Training Program (RTP)Stipend Scholarship (International). The RTP stipends are valued at $35,950 per annum (2022 rate)
