Alfred Research Alliance Honours Scholarship 2025

Monash University invites applications for the Alfred Research Alliance (ARA) Honours Scholarship, formerly known as the AMREP Honours Scholarship. This esteemed scholarship supports students pursuing an honours program at the Alfred precinct in Melbourne, offering financial assistance to ease academic pressures and encourage excellence in the fields of science and biomedical research.

This opportunity is open to domestic and international students who are enrolled or planning to enroll in the Alfred Research Alliance Honours program.

 Scholarship Overview

• Scholarship type: Partial financial support
• Stipend value: $6,000 for the academic year (48 credit points of study)
• Study Level: Honours program
• Study Course: Bachelor of Biomedical Science or Bachelor of Science
• Citizen type: International students
• Number of positions: 2
• Duration: One academic year
• Deadline: Thursday, 13th February 2025 (12:00 PM)

Eligibility Criteria 

To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Be one of the following:
   • New Zealand citizen
   • Australian citizen
   • Australian permanent resident
   • Australian humanitarian visa holder
   • International student
2. Be completing or intending to complete either:
   • Bachelor of Biomedical Science
   • Bachelor of Science
3. Must be commencing or continuing a full-time Alfred Research Alliance honours program at the Alfred campus.
4. Achieve a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 80 or above in undergraduate studies.

Selection Criteria 

Scholarships are awarded based on the following factors:

• Academic Merit: Performance in undergraduate studies (WAM of 80 or above).
• Interview: Shortlisted candidates may need to attend an interview.
• Maintained Academic Progress: Recipients must remain enrolled full-time and provide a brief academic progress report from their honours supervisor.
