Western Sydney University (WSU) in Australia is offering a limited number of tuition fee scholarships to outstanding international students who are commencing undergraduate coursework programs in 2025. This opportunity aims to attract academically talented students from around the world to study at one of Australia’s modern and globally recognized institutions.

Scholarship Overview

  • Scholarship Type: Partial tuition fee waiver

  • Stipend Value:

    • $6,000 per year: Contribution towards tuition fees (up to 240 credit points or 3 years maximum) for high-achieving students.

    • $3,000 per year: Contribution towards tuition fees (up to 240 credit points or 3 years maximum) based on academic merit.

  • Study Level: Undergraduate
  • Study Course: All CRICOS-registered undergraduate degrees except:

    • Bachelor of Clinical Science (Medicine)/Doctor of Medicine

    • Bachelor of Nursing (not eligible for $6,000 scholarship, but can receive $3,000 scholarship)

  • Citizen Type: International students only

  • Number of Positions: Limited; awarded on a first-come-first-served basis

  • Duration: Up to 3 years or 240 credit points (pro-rated for advanced standing)

  • Deadline: Rolling—until scholarships are fully awarded

Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be an international student (not an Australian or New Zealand citizen, and not a permanent resident of Australia)

  • Be applying for admission to a new CRICOS-registered undergraduate degree at WSU in 2025

  • Meet academic entry requirements for admission and for either the $6,000 or $3,000 scholarship tier

  • Satisfy all other admission conditions outlined in the offer

Applicants are not eligible if they:

  • Are currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree at WSU

  • Are study abroad or exchange students

  • Do not commence in the intake/session and year indicated on their admission offer

  • Receive advanced standing of more than 160 credit points

  • Are studying less than 80 credit points to complete the program

  • Are applying for a program delivered at the Sydney City campus

  • Have already been awarded another tuition fee scholarship from WSU or a third party

Selection Criteria 

Selection is based on:

  • Academic merit in a completed Year 12 qualification or equivalent

  • Timely acceptance of scholarship offer due to limited availability

  • No application is required; students who meet criteria are automatically considered

How to Apply

Applying for the Western Sydney International Scholarships – Undergraduate 2025 is straightforward, as no separate scholarship application is required. Follow these steps to be considered:

  1. Choose an Eligible Course

    • Select any CRICOS-registered undergraduate program at Western Sydney University (excluding the Bachelor of Clinical Science (Medicine)/Doctor of Medicine).

  2. Submit Your Admission Application

    • Apply online through the Western Sydney University Application Portal or via an authorized international agent.

    • Make sure to submit all required documents including academic transcripts, passport, and proof of English proficiency.

  3. Receive Your Offer of Admission

    • If you meet the scholarship eligibility criteria, your Letter of Offer will automatically include details of the scholarship (either $6,000 or $3,000 per year depending on your academic merit).

  4. Accept Your Offer Promptly

    • Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Accept your offer as soon as possible to secure your scholarship before places are filled.

  5. Prepare for Arrival

    • Once your offer is accepted, proceed to arrange your visa, Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), accommodation, and travel plans to begin your studies in 2025.
