The Vice Chancellor's International Scholarship is a prestigious award offered by Griffith University to celebrate and support outstanding international students beginning their studies in Australia. Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand

  • Be a new, commencing student with a valid Griffith University offer

  • Have achieved a minimum GPA of 6.0/7.0 (or equivalent) in previous studies

  • Meet all academic and English language entry requirements for the chosen program

  • Plan to study full-time in 2025 or 2026

  • Submit all required documents by the scholarship closing date

Eligible Countries: All nationalities except Australia & New Zealand
Eligible Programs: Any undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program

Selection Criteria 

The selection process is merit-based and competitive. Applicants will be assessed based on:

  • Academic excellence (GPA, ranking, transcripts)

  • Quality of the personal statement

  • Relevance of previous academic background to chosen study program

  • Leadership qualities or professional achievements

  • Potential to contribute positively to the Griffith University community

How to Apply

Follow the steps below:

Step 1  Apply to Study

Submit an application for an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at Griffith University.

Step 2  Receive Your Letter of Offer

Once you receive your Letter of Offer, proceed to the scholarship application.

Step 3  Apply for the Scholarship

Before the closing date for your starting trimester, submit:

  • Academic transcripts

  • Personal statement

  • Any additional supporting documents requested

A selection panel will review your application.

Step 4  Receive Scholarship Outcome

The university will notify you if you have been selected.

Step 5  Accept the Offer

To secure the scholarship, you must accept:

  1. Your program offer

  2. The scholarship offer (by the date listed in your Scholarship Letter)

Failure to accept on time will result in automatic withdrawal.

Step 6  Upon Starting Your Studies

The 50% fee reduction will be applied before census date each trimester. You must pay the remaining balance by the due date.
