          The Children's Medical Research Institute (CMRI) offers PhD Scholarships annually in Basic Medical Research to highly accomplished students. To apply, Prospective applicants are required to contact the team leader via email to express their interest in a specific area of research. The team leader may request additional details and schedule a meeting to discuss the candidate's suitability. If accepted, the candidate must apply for the CMRI PhD Scholarship and any other relevant scholarships. The CMRI has departmental status within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney, and the majority of students are enrolled through this institution. However, applications from students enrolled at other universities are also welcome.

          The CMRI PhD program provides additional financial support beyond the standard university remuneration, and staff members offer extensive assistance with other scholarship applications. Domestic students may apply as early as 28 February (for a PhD start in July of the same year) and 31 August (for a PhD start in the following March).               Generally for all Research Degree Programs(HDR), there is no application Fee for these 2 universities. How ever for course work students in some study options with no waiver you will have to pay an application fee
